Next-Generation Chip Evaluation (Atmosic & nRF54H20)

Brief description:

  • We performed an evaluation of newly introduced, pre-release chips from Atmosic and Nordic Semiconductor (nRF54H20) for a U.S.-based partner. Leveraging the vendors’ new SDKs, we rigorously tested peripheral performance—including I2C, SPI, and GPIO—as well as radio throughput and stability using ESB (Enhanced ShockBurst) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

Next-Generation Chip Evaluation (Atmosic & nRF54H20)

Key Highlights

  • Peripheral Benchmarking: Verified I2C and SPI performance under various operating conditions to ensure reliability and compatibility.

  • Radio Analysis: Assessed throughput, range, and robustness of both ESB and BLE protocols.

  • SDK Integration: Explored new development kits, identifying potential bugs and suggesting improvements for future firmware releases.

  • Practical Insights: Delivered data-driven recommendations for optimizing performance and power efficiency in commercial applications.
